We believe the whole is greater that the sum of its parts. Our team is very important to us. We take great care in selecting inquisitive and critical thinkers, who are early adopters and fast adapters, but also realistic and versatile. Because we want to work with, not just for our customers, we value social skills and communication as much as technical savvy.

Noel Wilson

Noel Wilson - Country Manager
My name is Noel Wilson and I am the country manager of Sourcesense NL. I have been working in the IT sector for more then 12 years in several roles like program management, business development and sales. Previously I worked at ING Barings and Ezgov. The last company was one of the first to bring government services online like the UK tax office. The disadvantages of using closed source software became obvious and so I am glad that nowadays I am working with so many professional and enthusiastic people at Sourcesense who all believe open source is becoming the de facto standard. There are still a lot of interesting steps to take but I am sure open source and standards are future proof and we all can benefit from it.

I am always on the lookout for new technologies to make life as a programmer easier. In the past this has led me from developing a CMS from scratch at Hippo, to a role as technical lead for a core project at a large legal publishing firm. In the meantime I helped a lot of companies to embrace Open Source and Open Standards, and have guided development teams how to make optimal use of the available tools. Currently, I am very much involved in content management, publishing, metadata and the semantic web, advocating lightweight development practices like Agile, Scrum and Lean, and researching new areas of development like VOIP and Mobile.

Jelle van Egmond – Advisor / Sr. Project manager
Since 1999 I’ve been working with internet technology mainly as a consultant, advisor, project leader or analyst on several large e-commerce and internet projects. My main focus is on enterprise content management and information architecture. I think it’s essential to embrace open standards and value open source as a serious competitor to proprietary technology.

I'm a good fella born in the north of Italy in 1980. After spending my youth in Tuscany and Rome, I've started to discover Europe living two years in Valencia(Spain) - finishing my studies with some bits of work - and now I'm trying to settle down in the Netherlands.
Working wise, after a 5 years long rising through the ranks as a freelancer in Italy - which is everything but easy - I moved to the rainy Amsterdam due to general e-government excitement around the Open Source hype.
I'm now finding my professional path in the Agile methodologies mentoring and coaching, which basically remarks one of my boldest points: being in contact with people, let them communicate and improve processes in terms of quality and productivity yet having a healthy work environment and people happy and satisfied of what they do on daily basis.
In the spare time I like to travel and discover new countries, cultures and people; this passion became a routine when I discovered couchsurfing. This awesome community - which I am a proud committer of - provides a very easy platform to share your couch to people of the community which are traveling to your city.

Before joining Sourcesense in May 2008, I worked for a publishing company that already used open source for its software development. I wanted to take this to the next level and Sourcesense is the best place for working with open source and agile methods. The environment is inspiring because the knowledge necessary to let a project succeed is always present in the team. The projects that I have worked on have been very interesting, using the newest technologies exclusively.

I'm a passionate and geeky software engineer, following the OpenSource world since a decade. Technically, I was born as a Linux system administrator/architect, with some background in embedded systems too, truly appreciating how the Open approach can really make a difference in the IT business. Then I became a Java(TM) developer focused on mobile oriented multimedia web applications which, with their focus on bleeding edge technologies, made me develop a true passion for the Java(TM) world and its rich and enthusiast communities.
Recently, I moved from Italy to the Netherlands to land at Sourcesense, where I'm focusing on Enterprise Content Management with and OpenSource taste, still keeping an eye on the mobile market. You can follow my rants and thoughts on Twitter.

I joined Sourcesense NL in November 2008. Before that I spent about four years working in Italy as a consultant for a variety of companies and roughly one year here in the Netherlands in a major integration company. During this period I had the chance to participate to the set up of a number of java web applications with the most widely used frameworks in the industry and had to deal with a few different CMS's. At the moment I am involved on a project as Cocoon and Hippo CMS expert.
I am very motivated, results oriented and enthusiast about new technologies. I like to be always up to date with what is going on in the open source world and I am eager to learn and face new challenges. Sourcesense provided me the ideal environment to do that, permitting me to join a team of nice people who are at the same time highly skilled and willing to share their knowledge to lead projects to success. In my spare time I enjoy very much watching arthouse movies, reading books in their original language and having long walks in Amsterdam.

I've started developing server side applications in 2003, before this I did 2 years of network administration. I was very lucky to work with professionals that knew how and were willing to share knowledge, that helped me a lot and taught me value of community. I'm interested in scalable high performance server side applications and integrations within those, so if your production system is having problems, search no more.
I'm an active member of few open source projects, like everyone here.
My recent Open Source involvement is around Grizzly, Maven and Atmosphere.

... And fourty more Open Source specialists across the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Italy.
